TPAN Offering FREE Quarterly HIV Training

If you bat for TEAM HIV, we need a starting short stop -- real bad. "SEINFELD"-plagiarizing aside, starting Tuesday, January 26th through Thursday January 28th, Test Positive Aware Network offers TEAM, its quarterly training in HIV. TEAM is an innovative peer-led training series that teaches you how to live your best life with HIV. TEAM focuses on Adherence, HIV Biology, HIV history, the Doctor/Patient Relationship, and many other health and wellness topics.
I took this course when it was offered in November and was blown away by how interesting it was, how incredibly dense scientific material was condensed into layman's language.
If TPAN's sole raison d'etre was giving this course (and we all know they're about much more than that), it would be more than enough.
To continue the "SEINFELD" riffing, if my virus was a boyfriend, from that moment on, I got hand.
If I could change two things about the world, one would be making marriage (gay and straight) as complicated to get into as divorce (Trust me on this one!) and the other would be requiring everyone on Earth with HIV to take this class. If you think the only things you and your doctor need to think about are your T-cells and viral load, then TEAM can benefit you. If you have a difficult time keeping your medical regiment and taking your pills the same time daily, then TEAM can benefit you. If having HIV scares you, then TEAM can definitely benefit you.
TEAM made me a better HIV journalist and a better HIV patient. I highly recommend it.

Call TPAN at 773-989-9400 for further info. Space is limited.
Registration required. Dates subject to change. Free. Let me say that last part again. FREE.
