Broadway In Chicago is working with Comcast to create BROADWAY IN CHICAGO BACKSTAGE, an exclusive new program that features in-depth conversations with cast and creative team members from major Broadway In Chicago productions. Similar in format to the popular “Inside the Actors Studio,” this thirty-minute conversation is hosted by Paul Lisnek, Anchor of “Newsmakers” and Theatre Correspondent for “Prime Time Chicago.”

Portugal's President Ratifies Law Allowing Gay Marriage
LGBT NewsAct Makes Portugal the Sixth European Country Allowing Same-sex Couples to Wed
Portugal's conservative president announced Monday he is ratifying a law allowing gay marriage in the predominantly Catholic country.
President Anibal Cavaco Silva said in a nationally televised address he regretted that the country's political parties had failed to reach a compromise during days of heated debate in Parliament four months ago.

Chicago Pride Parade Grand Marshal Announced
Local NewsChicago's 41st Annual Parade Kicks Off at Noon on Sunday, June 27th.
Chely recently became the first prominent country music star to state publically that she is gay. This past month, she appeared on the Today show, Oprah Winfrey, Ellen and in a People magazine story describing the painful process of growing up in a small town knowing that she is gay. Her jouney led her to the point of contemplating suicide because of societal prejudice and pressure.
